No More Lonely is made by EDMC Canada. This page says plainly what we store, what we never show anyone, and how to have your account removed.
What we keep
- Your sign-in email, and your name when you sign in with Google.
- The area you choose: country, province or state, city or town, an optional neighbourhood, and the meeting radius you are comfortable with.
- The ways you would like to meet — coffee, walks, games and the like — so we can show you people who want the same thing.
- Messages and replies you post in your own community's discussion.
What nobody else ever sees
- Your exact location. We only ever show an approximate area, and we never share your address, your home, or a pin on your door.
- Who else belongs to your community. Members see how many people are in the area, not a list of them.
- Your identity document and selfie photo. Those are handled by our verification provider and are never shown to other members or published anywhere in the app.
Why we ask for an ID check
- Reading a community is free and open to members. Posting or replying needs a one-time identity check, so every voice in the room belongs to a real person. That is what makes it feel safe to say hello.
Your community, your rules of engagement
- Only members of a community can read its discussion. Posts are visible to that community, not to the whole app.
- You can delete any message you wrote. If something troubles you, tell us and we will act on it.
Changing or closing your account
- You can move to a different area at any time — your new choice replaces the old one.
- You can sign out whenever you like. To delete your account and everything attached to it, contact us and we will do it for you.
Questions about your data? Reach us through the sign-in page or your community discussion, and we will get back to you.
